Code of conduct

We want The Educated Jodi to be seen as useful, classy, and trustworthy.
We wouldn't be able to realize this objective unless we first created a safe and comfortable environment for our users.
With that in mind, we have prepared a simple code of conduct for all our users, and we ask that you abide by it if you want to use our site.

 

General

I will ensure the following:

·        That I will not mislead anyone regarding my relationship status.

·        That I understand "single" means never married, separated, awaiting divorce, divorced, marriage annulled, or widowed and not in a relationship.

·        That I affirm I am single and therefore, looking for a match on The Educated Jodi.com

·        That I affirm my relative/friend/acquaintance is single, if I am helping them find a match on The Educated Jodi.com

·        That I am genuine and honest.

·        That I am serious about my intentions.

·        That my photos are of myself.

·        That I will not engage in fraudulent activities (e.g., asking for money under false pretenses, impersonating someone else, or manipulating the Service.)

·        That I shall not share content that is inaccurate, including misinformation or inflammatory messages.

·        That I will not post deceptive information about myself, my job, educational qualifications and other bio-data.

 

Respecting the platform & its users

·        I will act with integrity and be truthful in my words and actions.

·        I will conduct myself honorably by treating others with respect.

·        I will not abuse other users on the platform and/or subject them to offensive material.

·        I will hold other users to these same standards. This includes notifying The Educated Jodi.com of violations of this code by other users so that the site remains useful, classy, and trustworthy.

·        I will abide by the 'The Educated Jodi' guidelines.

·        I shall do my part in creating a safe and constructive environment for all users.

·        I will not use the platform for illegal activities or violate the rights of others.

·        I will respect other users' privacy.

 

Nudity/Sexual content

·        Nudity and sexually explicit content are strictly prohibited on this platform.

·        Objectification of the male/female/transsexual body is to be avoided at all costs.

·        Users shall not post abusive or offensive material. Please refrain from public display or usage of the Service to exchange inappropriate content (including bestiality, pornography, offensive language, graphic violence, or criminal activity.)

·        Our platform does not allow content that is harmful, inflammatory, or shocking.

·        Failure to comply with all of this, will result in disciplinary action of the user being permanently banned from The Educated Jodi.com

 

Harassment

Users will be reprimanded if they indulge in harassing behavior towards others on the platform and the 'The Educated Jodi' team. Harassment includes:

·        Offensive remarks on gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, and physical appearance

·        Racist and casteist comments

·        Sharing sexual images

·        Intimidation and stalking

·        Unwelcome sexual attention

·        Disrespecting privacy

·        Consent is ignored

·        Activities that propagate and incite violence.

Any action that alarms, annoys, threatens, intimidates, or makes our users uncomfortable will not be taken lightly. The Educated Jodi will investigate these concerns as soon as possible. Harassing users will warrant either a warning or his/her account will be blocked for a period of time, depending on the severity of the circumstance. Should we continue to see a stock of inappropriate activity, the user in question will be permanently blocked from our platform. We do not tolerate harassment of any form.

Please notify our customer support line immediately, if need be. Violation of these Terms could possibly result in your account being taken off the platform.

 

Violence & Hate Speech

 

·        We have a zero-tolerance policy on activities that promote violence, terrorism, and hate speech.

·        Any content that supports propagates dehumanizes, denigrates, and incites racism, bigotry, prejudicial or discriminatory behavior, and hatred against users on the basis of gender, ethnicity, religion, disability and national origin is unacceptable on our platform.

·        Do not engage in illegal activities, which include harming or exploiting children.

·        The user risks his/her account by doing so.

 

Spamming

·        Spam is unwanted, unwelcome, and unsolicited bulk messages or emails or postings, or all of the above. Please do not spam users.

·        Be considerate and respectful of their time.

·        The platform will give the user a warning if he/she crosses the line.

 

Promotion or solicitation

 

·        The Educated Jodi is a matchmaking platform. Please do not use it for commercial purposes. Therefore, using our app to solicit users is prohibited. The possible disciplinary course of action is banning the user from using our services.

·        Self-promotion is also not allowed.

 

Scamming

Any user who is involved in fraudulent or illegal activity will be penalized in the form of a permanent ban.

 

Prostitution & Trafficking

Under no circumstance is human trafficking or other types of sexual exploitation allowed, generally and on The Educated Jodi. Users committing such heinous acts on this platform will be permanently banned.

 

Minors

·        Users must be 18 and above to utilize The Educated Jodi's services.

·        Please note that we do not allow images of minors. You are welcome to be transparent in your bio if you have children. But do not list or show any other details, or display their photos, even if you are featuring in them.

·        Any action that indicates verbal or bodily harm to a minor, or depicts them in an overly-sexualized manner will prompt us from banning the user from our platform, effective immediately.

 

Account creation

The Educated Jodi users are not allowed to have duplicate accounts on the platform.

Please keep your account details confidential.

 

Criminal background checks

The Educated Jodi does not conduct criminal background checks on its users. We encourage our users to be cautious of their matches and to do their own due diligence, before taking it to the next step.
